    Great Greek thinkers made revolutionary discoveries in astronomy, biology, and medicine.

    situated away from an area's coast or border
    There were dense forests and steep, rocky cliffs along the coast. Inland, there were snow-covered mountains.

    The Odyssey tells the many adventures of the Greek hero Odysseus.
  10. relic
    an antiquity that has survived from the distant past
    Many Greek sculptures still exist today in museums. We can even see some floor mosaics in their original locations. Hopefully, these relics will be preserved for years to come.
